What is Fliptron?

Fliptron Presentations is a freelance enterprise operated by Tom Burke. The primary service provided by Fliptron is PowerPoint design and creation for trial attorneys. As PowerPoint becomes more and more prominent in the courtroom, the need for professional-grade presentations that are both attractive and effective grows. That, of course, is where Fliptron comes into play.

Fliptron offers both creation and modification services, meaning I can work with you to build a presentation from the ground-up or I can touch-up an existing presentation and give it a design that will impress. In designing presentations, I make use of Adobe Photoshop in conjunction with PowerPoint so as to create presentations that are visually stunning as well as lucid.

Who is Tom Burke?

I am! I’m currently a student at the University of Southern California and I’m set to graduate with a degree in Neuroscience in May of 2008. After that, I plan to go to law school, but I don’t yet know where I want to go or what type of law I want to study. But I’m sure those things will work themselves out in time.

I’m a member of the USC Mock Trial team, which is currently ranked 9th out of over 500 teams in the nation. We also recently took four out of the top five spots at the Great Western Regional Tournament.

I’ve been playing around with PowerPoint for over 8 years now and, in that time, have developed a firm grasp of all the technical elements of the software. In the past couple years I’ve been focusing intensely on the design aspect of PowerPoint by creating samples, subscribing to various blogs in the field, and reading books on the subjects of design, color, grid systems, typography, and more.

Aside from my law- and PowerPoint-related interests… I love to snowboard. In fact, I love to snowboard more than I love most things in the world. I do like a lot of other stuff, though, and as far as music goes I listen almost exclusively to rap and hip-hop. I also love sneakers, but I’m not a sneaker collector. I’m a sneaker wearer. In fact, pretty much any money I make from Fliptron is bound to wind up being spent on a pair of limited edition Nikes!
