Don’t get me wrong. This post isn’t an endorsement or recommendation of the Jasper Keynote presentation laser and remote (which I was tipped off to by Engadget). That would be irresponsible; I’ve never even seen the thing in real life. I’d just like to note that… I would really like to see this thing in real life!

According to the manufacturer’s website, the green beam of the Keynote is up to 50 times stronger than those wussy red laser beams that are already a common feature of presentation remotes. It would seem to me, then, that the Keynote is 50 times more awesome than any previously-available presentation remote. That’s just simple math, folks.
While we’re on the subject of simple math, I should note that the Jasper costs $169 dollars and that ground shipping is free for all orders over $150.
Again, let me reiterate that all I know about this remote I have garnered from 15 minutes on the manufacturer’s website. But I do know a few simple truths: (1) Presentation remotes are generally a good idea. (2) Lasers—especially green ones—are super cool. Which leads me the following conclusion: The Jasper Keynote has the potential to be radical.*
*You know, provided it actually works… And I have no idea if it does!!!
